What's New
Updated 2026-10-23
A short log of what changed on MC Seed Maps, newest first. Accuracy numbers come from tests against the real game, and we list the results next to each change.
23 October 2026
- Nether Fossil Finder (Java). Coordinates and height of every fossil. Tested on the official Java 26.3 server: 24 of 24 predicted fossils were confirmed by
/locate, and the game's nearest fossil was in our list on 4 of 4 seeds. - End Gateway Finder (Java). All 20 gateways in spawn order, with the outer gateway each one leads to. The order matched the game's saved dragon-fight data; 7 of 9 outer gateways matched the game's exit exactly (the other 2 were off by 6 and 64 blocks), so it is marked approximate.
- Superflat Generator. Stack layers, pick a biome and structures, and copy the settings for Java (
server.properties) or Bedrock (flat world layers). Checked on the official Java 26.3 and Bedrock servers: 9 of 9 and 8 of 8 layer checks passed. - Block Compendium. Search all 1,270 Java blocks with IDs, block states, tags and copy-ready
/setblockand/givecommands. - Dungeon, Ravine and Cave Finders (Java). Three new finders built from the game's own world-generation code. Dungeons show the spawner mob, room size and Y; ravines show the surface opening; caves show entrances you can walk into. We checked them on the official Java 26.3 server: about 62% of listed dungeons existed (spawner mob right in 14 of 15), about 60% of listed ravine openings were open (97% of carved blocks matched), and 9 of 10 cave entrances opened into a cave. They are marked approximate and are Java only.
- Bedrock structure finders. Abandoned camps, trail ruins and trial chambers now work in Bedrock mode. We checked them on the official Bedrock Dedicated Server 1.26.52.3: all 48 camps, 24 of 24 trail ruins and 24 of 24 trial chambers we predicted were found by the game.
- No Beta label on finders. The abandoned camp finder is out of Beta (89 of 90 checks matched on Java 26.3). Every Java version from 1.18 to 26.3 is Verified.
- Desert Well Finder. New finder for Java with coordinates and a
/tpcommand. In the real game, 33 of 40 predicted wells existed, so it is marked approximate. - Amethyst Geode Finder. New finder for Java that also shows the depth (Y) of each geode. In the real game, 45 of 48 predicted geodes existed.
- Level.dat Reader. Read the seed, version, spawn and spawn chunks of a Java or Bedrock world from its level.dat. The file never leaves your browser.
- Other Bedrock structures. Villages, outposts, temples, monuments, mansions, strongholds and the rest are not shown for Bedrock. The official Bedrock server places them in different spots than Java, so showing Java positions would be wrong.
22 October 2026
- Abandoned Camp Finder for Java 26.3, with a new guide on how to find an abandoned camp.
- New guides on the Dappled Forest biome and the
/locatecommand. - German, Portuguese and Spanish guide hubs.
27 September 2026
- Every Java version from 1.18 to 26.3 passed our in-game tests and is labelled Verified. The Bedrock biome map was verified on the Bedrock Dedicated Server 1.26.52.3.
How we test
For each finder we start the official game server (Java 26.3, or the Bedrock Dedicated Server 1.26.52.3), ask the game for the real position of a structure, and compare it with our prediction. Only results that pass are labelled Verified. Finders that match about nine times in ten are marked approximate, with the measured number on the page.
