Where do ocean ruins spawn?

Ocean ruins are underwater Overworld ruins that come in two types. Cold ocean ruins, made of stone bricks, spawn in normal, cold and frozen oceans and their deep versions. Warm ocean ruins, made mostly of sandstone, spawn in lukewarm and warm oceans. Some generate on land next to a beach.

How to find ocean ruins without a seed map

Sail over shallow ocean and look down for stone brick or sandstone walls on the sea floor.
Once you find one ruin, search around it: large ruins often have a cluster of small ones nearby.
Check the edges of beaches; some ruins generate on land.
Use /locate structure minecraft:ocean_ruin_cold or minecraft:ocean_ruin_warm in a creative test copy of your world.
