Minecraft End Gateway Finder
Enter your Java seed to see all 20 End gateways: the position of each inner gateway on the 96-block ring, the order they appear after each dragon kill, and the outer gateway it teleports you to. We checked it in the real game: the order matched the game's saved dragon-fight data, and 7 of 9 outer gateways matched the game's exit position exactly (the other 2 were off by 6 and 64 blocks).
Predicted from world generation. End gateways are not structures, so /locate cannot find them. Inner gateways (Y 75) appear one per dragon kill, in the numbered order; throw an Ender Pearl in to reach the outer gateway of the same number. Outer positions match the game exactly about 8 times in 10; the rest can be off by up to about 64 blocks.
Where do End gateways spawn?
Each time you defeat the Ender Dragon, one End gateway appears on a ring of radius 96 around the central island. Throwing an Ender Pearl into it, or walking in, teleports you to an outer gateway on the far islands, about 1,000 blocks away. The order of the 20 gateways and the outer destinations depend on the world seed.
How to find End gateways without a seed map
- Enter your seed and open the End dimension list.
- Find gateway #1 for your first dragon kill, #2 for the second, and so on.
- Throw an Ender Pearl into the gateway beam and you arrive at the outer gateway listed in the table.
- Use the outer gateway coordinates to plan a trip to end cities and elytra, before you build a bridge.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find the outer End islands?
Defeat the Ender Dragon, then throw an Ender Pearl into the gateway that appeared. Enter your seed in the finder to see where the outer gateway is before you go.
How many End gateways are there?
20 inner gateways around the central island. One appears each time the Ender Dragon is defeated.
Which gateway appears first?
The finder shows the spawn order for your seed. Gateway number 1 appears after the first dragon kill.
How accurate is the End gateway finder?
We read the gateway order from the game's saved dragon-fight data on the official Java 26.3 server, and it matched. We also dropped an item into 3 gateways on each of 3 seeds: the game's exit portal matched our outer gateway exactly in 7 of 9 cases, and was off by 6 and 64 blocks in the other two.
Does it work on Bedrock?
No. We could only test Java, so the finder supports Java only.
