Minecraft Biome Finder
Choose a biome, enter your seed and a starting point, and the finder lists the nearest places where that biome generates, with coordinates and a /tp command. It works for every Overworld biome, including cave biomes like the deep dark and lush caves.
Cave biomes are searched underground; surface biomes at the surface.
Surface biomes and cave biomes
Since the Caves & Cliffs update, biomes are three-dimensional: a lush cave or the deep dark can sit underneath a plains biome. The finder searches surface biomes at the surface and cave biomes underground (the deep dark deep below, lush and dripstone caves at mid depth). For cave biomes, the coordinates show where to dig down.
Fast vs fine search
| Precision | Grid | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Fast | 64 blocks | Large biomes and big search radiuses |
| Fine | 16 blocks | Small or rare biomes near you (up to 5,000 blocks) |
Tiny patches can be missed by the fast grid. If a biome should be close but is not found, switch to Fine.

The seed map colours every biome — hover over it to read the biome name and coordinates. Bedrock players can use the Bedrock seed map, because biomes match Java on current versions.
Frequently asked questions
Can I find the deep dark with this?
Yes. Pick Deep Dark; the finder searches underground where that biome generates. You still need to dig down at the coordinates.
Does the biome finder work for Bedrock?
On current versions the same seed gives the same biomes on Java and Bedrock, so biome results can be used on Bedrock. Our Bedrock biome map was checked against the official Bedrock server.
Why is a biome not found?
It may be farther than the radius, or too small for the grid. Increase the radius or use the Fine precision.
