This page explains which cookies and browser storage MC Seed Maps uses and how you can control them. Advertising and analytics cookies are set by Google, and only after consent where the law requires it. Your map settings are saved in your browser's local storage, not in cookies.
What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Local storage is a similar feature that lets a site keep data on your device. Both stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
Which cookies does MC Seed Maps use?

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.

What do we keep in local storage?
We save your map preferences in local storage so the site remembers them:
- your last seed
- markers you have marked as visited
- your map layer choices
This data never leaves your browser. It is not used for ads or analytics.
How do I change my consent?
Click Privacy settings in the footer of any page. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland this re-opens Google's consent message; everywhere else it opens our own settings. There you can accept or refuse advertising and analytics cookies. Your new choice applies from then on. You can also clear cookies for mcseedmaps.com in your browser settings.
You can also manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
How do I block or delete cookies?
Every major browser lets you block cookies and delete stored site data. Look in your browser's settings under privacy or site data:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings (or Preferences) → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Deleting site data for mcseedmaps.com also clears your saved map preferences. Blocking all cookies may stop some parts of the site from working, but the seed map itself will still run.
