This policy explains what data MC Seed Maps (mcseedmaps.com) collects, why, and what choices you have. In short: the seed map runs in your browser, we have no user accounts, and we do not sell your personal data. Our hosting, analytics and advertising partners do process some data, as described below.

What happens to the seeds and coordinates I type?

They stay on your device. The seed map runs in your browser, so seeds, coordinates and map settings you enter are processed locally and are not sent to our servers.

What do we store in your browser?

We save a few preferences in your browser's localStorage so the site remembers them next time:

• your last seed
• markers you have marked as visited
• your map layer choices

This data stays in your browser and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing site data for mcseedmaps.com in your browser settings. See the cookie policy for details.

Do you have user accounts?

No. There are no accounts at launch, so we do not collect names, passwords or email addresses through sign-up. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply and handle your request.

What does our hosting provider collect?

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request logs. Cloudflare may also set strictly necessary security cookies.

Which analytics do we use?

We use two analytics tools to understand which pages and tools people use:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.
• Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies. Where the law requires consent, Google Analytics runs only after you agree.

We use this information to fix problems and improve the site, not to identify you.

How does advertising work on this site?

We show ads through Google AdSense, which pays for running the site. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to show ads. Depending on your choices and location, these can be personalised ads (based on your interests) or non-personalised ads (based on things like the page you are on and your general location).

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK and Switzerland, we collect consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link in the footer: in those regions it re-opens Google's consent message; everywhere else it opens our own settings, where you can turn off personalised ads and analytics.

Do we sell your personal data?

No. We do not sell your personal data.

Is the site meant for children?

MC Seed Maps is a general-audience site. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

What are your privacy rights?

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR and US state privacy laws like the CCPA may give you the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• delete your personal data
• object to how we use your data, including for advertising

To use any of these rights, email [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject line. Because we do not run accounts, most data about your visit is held by our partners (Cloudflare and Google). We will help you with what we can and point you to the right partner controls where needed. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Will this policy change?

We may update this policy when the site changes, for example if we add accounts or new partners. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the site.
